Gym & Tonic Fitness is a new business in Kingston offering flexible, affordable fitness options for women. It is owned and operated by three local fitness instructors: Karen Bushell, Helen Tiddy and Trevena Feldmanis.

Because Gym & Tonic is run by mums, we understand what mothers need when it comes to fitness and finding the time to work out. We have no lock-in contracts, affordable, flexible pricing and offer over 12 different types of classes at times to suit school drop offs or late evenings for working mums. Each of our classes can accommodate any fitness level or ability. Our focus is on providing classes that are enjoyable, effective and safe so every woman can achieve their individual fitness goals.

We all have experience working with women whose bodies have been affected by giving birth and raising young children. We train women who are pregnant, mums recovering from pregnancy, including weakened pelvic floors and caesareans and those experiencing menopause.

Karen was nurse for 27 years and is a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer. She is a qualified Olympic weight lifting coach and fitness boxing instructor, post-partum fitness and mobility & body weight training.

Helen is a qualified dance instructor with over 11 years experience running dance schools in two states. As a certified fitness instructor, her knowledge of dance, body awareness, experience instructing children and adults and her passion for choreography makes her a dynamic group fitness educator.

Trevena has a background in science which influences her training philosophies. Her focus is on the biomechanics of movement, increasing range of motion, joint strengthening and stabilisation and power.

PILATES INSTRUCTOR - CLARE MUDRON

Clare discovered the wonders of Pilates when she started attending classes at her local gym after having her first son. She was highly motivated to continue this exercise regime when she saw the dramatic changes in her body shape. After the birth of her second son, she got back into shape very quickly, thanks to Pilates.
Clare became so passionate about the benefits of Pilates that she made the jump from being a corporate accountant to a Polestar trained Pilates instructor. She enjoys teaching people about how Pilates can transform their bodies and prides herself in offering clients a professional service that guarantees results.

Diane Summers - Yoga Instructor

 In 2010 After 20+ years of personal practice there was no ignoring the message that I was receiving to teach Yoga.
